Registered Nurse

Overview
As a Registered Nurse at Austin State Hospital, you will be responsible for providing patient care, managing emergencies, and ensuring compliance with facility standards. This position requires an Associate degree and a valid RN license.

Key Responsibilities
● Provide care for patients including managing psychiatric and medical emergencies
● Complete nursing assessments for new admissions
● Perform computer data entry
● Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies
● Must have house supervisor/staffing experience

Schedule and Shift Details
● Night shift and weekends, with additional training required for 13 consecutive days from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Required Qualifications
• Associate degree or higher
• 1+ years of experience with Data Entry
• 1+ years of experience with Emergency Department (ED) or Psychiatric and Mental Health or Psychiatry
